Learn how to speak Swahili
I am interested in learning Swahili, are there any African's that can give advice on where I can learn this beautiful language. I am also interested in visiting Africa, any advice on where to go. Thank you.

yeah! loads of people speak swahili. from age 0 it was the only language i could speak properly, then i came to england and forgot it, along with kikuyu and french (which i still know a bit of) but my mother tongue (luo is still intact) & of course my english is ‘better’
it’s a horrendously difficult language to learn if you’re starting fresh but the best way is just to jump in the deep end and go there. people will be obliging. the nationals take knowing their swahili very personally…
if you’re visiting africa you’ll have to pass by kenya, not only has it got the best parks in the world, the food is unsurpassable, the hotels are excellent, you can find anything you want Anything in the marketplace. I’d recommend going there (2africa in general) around christmas time cos that’s when it’s hot (you don’t want rainy season cos it comes with mosquitos), and everyone will be partying & having fun. if you book for november or january the tickets will be cheaper.

I spent 18 years in Africa , mainly in southern Africa where instead of Swahili ,languages like Xhosa and Zulu are the indigenous ones and are taught at school to all students including my own three white kids.Yes go and visit Africa take the appropriate health protection measures and be prepared to see a lot of really poor (but generally happy) people.
