		<description>Not at all. I&#039;m not American/ British/ European, but I&#039;m a white South African who speaks Tswana and Sotho (native to both South Africa and Botswana).
I also know quite a few white people who speaks Zulu, Xhosa etc.

So, no it&#039;s not unusual at all, especially if you are planning a trip to Eastern Africa where Swahili is the dominant native language.</description>

		<description>Yes, It&#039;s unusual. Most people would think that only Africans would want to learn African languages, to get in touch with their roots or for some other reason. It would be much more unusual for an Asian to learn it.</description>

		<description>No...many white people now Swahili. It&#039;s a VERY common language, spoken outside of East Africa. I heard they were going to make it an official language of the UN. In any case, they should. it is an easy language to learn . Good luck</description>
